A single asynchronous submersible motor platform engineered across a 100 to 7000 kW power range. Built for dredging, offshore and deep sea applications. 34 standard ratings. Voltages from 380 V to 6000 V. Operating depth to 300 metres.
The TKBS designation encodes the full configuration of every motor we build. Reading a type code tells you the installation form, the pump connection, the chamber fill, the rated capacity and the pole count, at a glance.
Selected to match the dredge geometry, pump configuration and access requirements of the vessel.
Direct or remote, depending on whether the motor sits on the pump or transfers torque via shafting and gearing.
Internal chamber fluid. Selected by depth class and thermal duty.
Submersible service is unforgiving. The motor has to hold a sealing perimeter against seawater, dissipate heat without air cooling, survive vibration from the pump and start hard against load, for years, between teardowns.
Corrosion-resistant welded steel outer shell. All bolts and fasteners in 316L stainless. Built for continuous seawater contact and long-term submerged storage between deployments.
Mechanical seal as primary stage, oil seal as secondary stage. Static sealing by fluoroelastomer rings and compound. Cable jacket sealed at termination by dedicated potting process.
Class H slot insulation, layer insulation and impregnating varnish, selected for high operating temperature. Full damp-proofing process during assembly.
Stator overheat, motor chamber moisture, oil chamber moisture, cable chamber moisture and bearing temperature, each routed to the switchgear protector and operator display.
Automatic pressure balancing devices equalise internal and external pressure. Type I rated to 35 m, Type II rated to 300 m for deep sea sand mining applications.
Designed with full consideration of inverter harmonics and frequency variation. Suitable for soft start, full inverter control, autotransformer reduced-voltage start or diesel-direct drive.
